Olivia Chavassieu

Director of Marketing, Research and Communications

With over 15 years of international experience in marketing, communications, and journalism, I have gained a deep understanding of how effective storytelling can drive meaningful change. I began my career as a journalist for leading national newspapers in Sydney, Hong Kong, and Singapore, before transitioning into the advertising and digital strategy space. During this time, I worked across a range of industries, including media, retail, finance, F&B, and e-commerce.

As a consultant and fractional CMO, I had the opportunity to support entrepreneurs focused on sustainable initiatives for the first time, which sparked my passion for helping businesses that prioritize impact and innovation. Most recently, I spent two years at a venture capital firm specializing in food and agri-tech, where I helped position the fund as a global leader and collaborated with partners on creative initiatives to drive innovation.

Now, I’m excited to bring my expertise to Shift4Good as Head of Marketing, Research, and Communication. In this role, I aim to highlight the firm’s efforts to empower startups in the mobility sector that are tackling the environmental challenges facing the transportation industry. I firmly believe that storytelling and communication play a crucial role in addressing the climate crisis. As impact-focused VCs, we have a responsibility to lead by example—sharing knowledge and showcasing how sustainable innovation can drive real change. By combining my passion for strategic content creation with my experience in building brands and communities, I look forward to amplifying our team’s impact and driving meaningful change in the mobility industry.

What I love doing

Nature is my sanctuary. I recharge by surrounding myself with its beauty and animals, as well as spending time with loved ones. After years spent abroad, I enjoy rediscovering France at a slow pace—whether by bike, on horseback, or simply on foot!
